Bradenton Christian School is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Bradenton, FL

Bradenton Christian seeks qualified, committed Christian candidates for the position of Director of Human Resources. The ideal candidate is equipped to assess and develop the current HR infrastructure at the school and make recommendations to the Superintendent and Board for improvement.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with senior leadership, Superintendent, and Board to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to recruiting, hiring, and retention.
  • Recommends and implements human resources policies and procedures to support the organizational goals.
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws, school accreditation standards, and Department of Education requirements.
  • Manages employee relations and provides coaching support to supervisors on disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance evaluations; productivity, recognition, and morale; and occupational health and safety.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Accounting for the administration of payroll, compensation, benefits, leave, worker’s compensation, 403b, and retirement benefits.
  • Maintains employee records according to policy and legal requirements.
  • Develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends to align with organizational goals.
  • Produces human resources reports and metrics for review and to assist with decision-making for the Superintendent and Board.
  • Assists the Director of Accounting to develop and monitor annual budgets for all employee wages and benefits.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify and recommend any changes/shifts in organizational roles to best support BCS.
  • Facilitate the teacher in-service point program and assist teachers with the Department of Education certification process and requirements.
  • Onboards new employees, coordinates necessary orientation, training, and mentorship programs.
  • Ensures confidentiality of all employee records, and sensitive organizational information.

Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least five years of human resource management experience required.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR highly preferred.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
