Hospice is Hiring a Human Resources Specialist - Credentialing Near Bradenton, FL

Empath Health is currently seeking an Human Resources Specialist - Credentialing to join our team

This position provides administrative support to HR Compliance and Operations Manager specifically regarding required credentialing of Empath colleagues needing access to hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with these facilities to ensure continuous access for our colleagues. Position also provides administrative support to the Human Resources department to assist with the daily functioning of those teams.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiate new accounts for all colleagues needing hospital and facility access.
  • Upload all initial and ongoing documents into appropriate vendor software.
  • When applicable, be a resource to colleagues regarding use of vendor portals to acknowledge policies and upload documents when they expire.
  • Close colleague account when no longer needed (Separation, Promotion, Transfer, etc.).
  • Pay annual fees to renew all accounts typically one month prior to expiration.
  • Provide the vendors with updated Empath Health Certificates of Insurance (COI) when renewed annually.
  • Keep updated spreadsheet showing each colleague’s vendor account and hospital/facility status.
  • Acts as a resource to all members of the HR Team in credentialing and general HR matters.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s degree preferred; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in human resources, specifically in areas involving compliance regulations and use of HRIS software preferred.
  • Experience with Onboarding colleagues in a healthcare setting highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare credentialing preferred.
  • Understanding of common employee health documents preferred.
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Office software preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail; highly organized
  • Flexibility, ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Professionalism, respect for confidentiality and ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Support and identify with the organization’s philosophy and objectives.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in stressful situations at the same time.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact with all departments in a professional and cheerful manner.
  • Good interpersonal skills with strong focus on customer service
