Job Description: Sous Chef

Job Summary:
The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards. The Sous Chef will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage inventory and ensure that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development
- Train new kitchen staff and provide ongoing training to existing staff
- Assist in the preparation of food as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
