Assistant Food Service Director Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to join our team in Minneapolis, MN, 55407. The ideal candidate will have previous skilled nursing supervisory experience, food safety/HACCP knowledge, and ServSafe certification. The candidate must be a great communicator, have a can-do attitude, be a people person, and have experience leading a team. The candidate must also have a sense of urgency, be punctual and reliable, have great work ethics, and understand special diets.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Food Service Director in managing the daily operations of the food service department
• Ensure compliance with food safety/HACCP regulations and guidelines
• Supervise and train food service staff
• Assist in menu planning and development
• Ensure special diets are accommodated
• Boost workplace morale and maintain a positive work environment
• Be responsive to Food Service Director requests and expectations
• Follow workplace policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Full-time availability with a variable schedule of days/afternoons
• Availability to work 6am-3pm, 12pm-7:30pm, every other weekend, and some holidays
• Previous skilled nursing supervisory experience is a plus
• Food safety/HACCP knowledge is required
• ServSafe certification is a plus
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Must be result-oriented and able to meet deadlines
• Great attendance is a must
