The Role

We're looking for highly-motivated, entrepreneurial individuals who have proven the ability to work in an outside sales role and are comfortable closing sales. As a distribution sales representative, you will be responsible for driving the growth of the local market.

The Sales Representative serves as the face of Blossom Industries in educating business owners and managers about the value of our portfolio of products. Our brands will help them increase sales and grow their business, and your job is to help them understand the value and make purchases. Your goals will be a combination of new account acquisition, upselling additional products, and building relationships with decision makers. In this role, you will oversee the sales and upsell process from prospect to close. This is a strategic sales role with lots of touch-points throughout a variety of channels to achieve targets. You will primarily be making sales through a combination of email, phone, and in person interactions.

Core Competencies for Role

  • 2-4 years of in-market or territory management experience selling consumer packaged products.
  • Direct experience selling to Hemp / CBD stores, C-Stores, or to hospitality.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of cannabis, hemp and cannabinoids is a plus.
  • Alcohol sales experience is a plus
  • Experience building relationships and developing new accounts
  • Track record of being a top performer and consistently exceeding goals
  • Goal-oriented, excellent organizational abilities & relationship building skills.
  • A hustler who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent communication skills; effectively leads sales efforts and is comfortable in written correspondence, on the phone, and in-person.
  • Ability to problem-solve and cater pitches to address owner pain points in real time
  • A go-getter who is coachable, adaptable, internally motivated, and resilient
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle for travel as needed.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.

About You

The ideal candidate has experience selling to CBD / smoke shops, C-Stores, hospitality, or all. 2-4 years of sales experience in-market or territory management is required, with alcohol sales experience preferred.

You are known for your excellent written and verbal communication skills, in particular your strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders.

You will thrive in an entrepreneurial, hands-on and non-corporate environment. As part of a small and dynamic team you are a team player, willing to roll your sleeves up and deliver results.

The right to work in the USA is essential. Must have a valid state driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record.
