Role Overview:

The VP, Field Operations will function as a member of the Leadership Team and work closely with cross functional partners to deliver a best-in-class operations, facilities, and hospitality experience for our members with a key focus on driving member growth and team member development. This role will report to the President and the ideal candidate will thrive in an environment where strategic thinking and in-field presence are key skills. This is a hybrid role with the corporate office located in midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities:

Facilities & Operations:

  • Drive accountability for achieving key operational and financial goals and KPIs at the gym and regional level
  • Operationalize and execute cross-functional strategic initiatives that continue to challenge the status-quo, with a focus on cleanliness and friendliness
  • Oversee all strategies and initiatives to drive member acquisition, retention and satisfaction
  • Oversee all strategies and initiatives to drive personal training sales, start-up session penetration and conversion to paid personal training packages
  • Engage with members to understand key pain points/needs and create initiatives to address those challenges
  • Engage with gym based staff to understand improvements in training, communication and process and create initiatives to address those challenges
  • Guide gym based teams to set high standards around operational excellence and customer service while hitting sales and profit targets
  • Promote continuous customer and gym experience innovation across all gyms to drive customer engagement and loyalty
  • Proactively evaluate gym and club manager level performance, be the voice of the field and provide insights and recommendations to elevate gym performance

People & Culture:

  • Build on culture of hospitality and community through meaningful investment in training, people development to drive retention and employee growth
  • Establish and reinforce operating best practices for gyms, improve labor distribution and build and refine the operating model
  • Partner closely with the People Team to attract, develop and retain talent at the gym level and across operations and facilities to support growth
  • Partner closely with the People Team to develop compensation models to motivate and retain the team
  • Inspire and lead people across all gyms and regions with an ability to resonate culturally across a highly diverse workforce

Retail:

  • Partner with Retail leadership to develop and drive retail strategy within gym operations
  • Evaluate and oversee the logistics and supply chain of retail products
  • Help develop and execute a plan to support the scale of the business

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred
  • 15 years of experience in increasingly complex multi-unit based operations, experience in franchise environments a plus
  • Passionate about the customer level experience - loves being in a multi-unit environment and sees it as the heartbeat of the organization
  • A great communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams as well as autonomously
  • Excellent time management skills and organizational skills with the ability manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor and report on performance making data-driven recommendations for improvements
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success
  • Passion or interest in the fitness industry
  • Must adhere to a hybrid schedule (In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Pay Transparency: $220-260,000.00/yr Bonus & Equity
