Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description:
- We are looking for a skilled accounts payable specialist to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. This position will manage day-to-day accounts payable functions.
Duties:
- Monitor Accounts Payable inbox to process all invoices accordingly and respond via email to all related requests in a timely manner.
- Daily detailed entry of invoices, weekly or on demand payments to vendors and filing of invoices, checks and related reports.
- Process all expense reports monthly.
- Produce and understand Accounts Payable reports.
- Monitor and track all vendor statements to ensure timely payment and reconcile accounts with vendors regularly.
- Review, maintain, and monitor accounts payable with the ability to relay concise information to supervisor or others.
- Maintain excellent relations with vendors. Resolve vendor-payable problems in a timely manner, while applying professional service to maintain and improve vendor relations.
Preferred Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior Accounts Payable experience (1-3 years)
- Excellent data entry and communication skillset
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- High sense of urgency and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office to include Word and Excel
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Ability to work independently, expediently and in teams
- Caret software – will train on site
