- Demonstrate knowledge of the child care industry operations
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Track project costs in order to meet budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Ability to define program/project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with project sponsors and stakeholders
- Establish program/project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and tracking such milestones and deliverables
- Communicate program/project plans, expectations, updates, progress, issues, and successes in a timely & clear fashion when necessary
- Coordinate with business subject matter experts including but not limited to HR,Marketing, Operations, Finance, Technology and Training to ensure successful and on time school openings
- Developing a Project Brief. Collaborate with the Business Development and Director of Integrations to develop a comprehensive project brief. Ensure the brief includes includes project purpose, objectives,scope,budget,timeline, risks and reporting lines.
- Maintaining the Project File. Set up and maintain a project file to store all project documentation. Ensure the file includes relevant documents such as project plans, budgets, invoices, correspondence and meeting minutes.
- Completing Project Management Forms. Complete various project management forms,County state and local required forms and update any budgets as needed
- Engaging with Departments and Operations. Liaise with Department heads and Operations to ensure project alignment with expectations and requirements. Include relevant parties in group meetings and communications.
- Closing the Project. Conduct final walk throughs and manage the warranty period. Obtain necessary approvals from local authorities (fire, health,etc) and submit final to licensing. Collect building and product warranties and provide them to the center & facilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A bachelor’s degree or master's degree in a related field.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
- Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
- Experience as a M & A project manager in ECE setting is a plus
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Budget management experience.
