Beacon Hill Staffing Group is Hiring a Compensation Analyst Near Chicago, IL


Beacon Hill has partnered with a large healthcare client in hiring a Compensation Analyst to start immediately. Our client is a leader in their field and offers excellent benefits with room for advancement.
As a Compensation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fair and competitive compensation practices within the organization. You will be responsible for analyzing compensation data, conducting market research, and making recommendations to support the company's compensation strategy. Additionally, you will collaborate with HR partners and other stakeholders to develop and implement compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze compensation data:
    • Collect and analyze data related to employee compensation, including salaries, bonuses, and benefits.
    • Conduct job evaluations and benchmarking studies to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
    • Utilize statistical techniques to interpret data and identify trends.
  2. Conduct market research:
    • Research industry trends and best practices in compensation to ensure the organization remains competitive in the labor market.
    • Participate in salary surveys and analyze survey data to determine appropriate salary ranges for various positions.
    • Stay abreast of changes in regulations related to compensation and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  3. Develop and maintain compensation programs:
    • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of compensation programs and policies.
    • Collaborate with HR partners to review and update job descriptions, classifications, and salary structures.
    • Provide guidance to management on compensation-related matters, such as promotions, adjustments, and incentive programs.
  4. Support compensation administration:
    • Assist in the administration of compensation programs, including salary reviews, merit increases, and incentive plans.
    • Prepare reports and presentations on compensation-related metrics and analysis for senior management.
    • Respond to inquiries from employees regarding compensation matters and provide guidance as needed.
  5. Perform ad-hoc projects:
    • Participate in special projects related to compensation, such as mergers and acquisitions, organizational restructuring, or system implementations.
    • Conduct cost analysis and modeling to support decision-making processes related to compensation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Compensation Analyst or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of compensation principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in compensation analysis techniques and tools, including Excel, statistical software, and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing compensation, such as FLSA, Equal Pay Act, and Fair Labor Standards Act.
