LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Analyst to join their team in Chicago, IL. As a Compensation Analyst, you will be responsible for managing compensation programs for their business professional staff, associates, and attorneys. This role requires industry experience in a law firm or accounting firm, as well as a strong work ethic and the ability to revamp the compensation program. Competitive Salary and Benefits Package (PTO, 401k, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance) are offered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the compensation process for business professional staff, associates, and attorneys.
  • Work closely with the compensation committee to determine merit increases, bonuses, and other compensation-related decisions.
  • Review and evaluate salaries for new positions to ensure competitiveness in the market.
  • Develop and maintain compensation banding and structures aligned with organizational goals and market trends.
  • Conduct compensation analysis and benchmarking to ensure our compensation practices remain competitive.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and efficient compensation administration.
  • Prepare and present compensation-related reports and insights to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Analyze and interpret compensation data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Consult and provide guidance to managers and leaders on compensation-related matters.
  • Adapt and prioritize tasks effectively to meet shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, trustworthiness, and judgment in handling sensitive compensation information.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Compensation Analyst, preferably in a law firm, accounting firm, or relevant billable hours industry.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior executives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and act as a consultative partner.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to put in the time to revamp the compensation program.
  • Ability to work with shifting priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
