Training Manager (Remote)

Full time, US

In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Training team members and the overall delivery of innovative, interactive, and engaging learning experiences for BCD Travel employees. You will oversee the Training Specialists' activities ensuring that the business outcomes for new business, technologies, procedures, and performance improvements are met. Activities and delivered courses should directly support performance improvements to meet the collective organizational goals.

As a Training Manager, you will

• Create, manage, and implement training programs including, but not limited to new hire, recurrent, and new technologies or procedures
• Oversee all department activities to meet business objectives; ensuring training is innovative, interactive, and engaging
• Ensure learning activities are completed by the team on-time and on-budget
• Observe training delivery and evaluate training session results, providing feedback to both the Training Specialist and the Curriculum Design and Development team
• Provide effective growth and development opportunities to team members and can lead training sessions themselves, as needed
• Help to develop training materials that deliver a maximum impact to the audience

About you

• Extensive management experience in the travel industry, learning and development field or call center
• Ability to evaluate strategic priorities and ensure that learning activities contribute to the achievement of goals
• Strong consultative and collaborative abilities, within and across the organization, to fulfill needs and requests
• Intermediate understanding of the instructional design process (ADDIE)
• Experience working with an LMS, minimally the loading of courses and basic reporting
• Experience in blended learning solutions (formal, informal, eLearning, self-directed, social, etc.)
• Proficiency on at least one GDS (Sabre, Turbo Sabre or Apollo) is a plus
