Position & Purpose Summary

The Director, Business Development is a sales leader in the Marketplace team, where we support maximizing commercial success for digital solutions with our suite of products. 

The Director will be accountable for independently driving revenue growth and profitability with Marketplace products across all launched topic areas to establish AVIA as the trusted partner for digital solutions.

Your Zone of Genius will be...

  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies aligned with Marketplace profitability goals independently
  • Monitoring sales performance metrics and analyzing market trends to inform product refinement and development for greater revenue generation
  • Forming and maintaining strong relationships in the C-suite and key stakeholders to drive revenue expansion opportunities
  • Identifying strategic opportunities that support bookings and revenue goals for profitability 
  • Creating and maintaining external sales collateral with high quality, creativity with limited support
  • Responsible for the regular report out of revenue pipeline opportunities, results, and learnings to key stakeholders
  • Building the top of funnel at key industry events (e.g. HIMSS, HLTH, ViVE) and reporting market insights to stakeholders - travel ~20-30%
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience in services and tech platform sales and sales management
  • Proven and credible at developing and implementing successful sales strategies
  • Deep knowledge of sales best practices, techniques, and tools - including Salesforce and Salesloft - with reps across a variety of use cases
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong sense of integrity, accountability, and ownership
  • Polished communicator and deep strategic thinker who maintains key relationships internal and external to get outcomes realized effectively and efficiently
