- Executes a variety of moderate to complex mechanical engineering assignments and provides detailed instructions in the design and/or project management of new and current projects, products, programs, components, tools, and acceptance equipment.
- Performs product development activities including drawing board layout and interpretation and implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements.
- Provides existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware in production.
- Evaluates design objectives, performs complex technical calculations, identifies most economical and efficient procedures for project design and performance.
- Develops test procedures and performs engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews and other engineering evaluation tasks and responsibilities.
- Performs multiple assignments simultaneously from concept to production, including following through with the internal and external resources to complete assigned projects.
- Develops competence by performing structured work assignments and uses existing procedures to solve standard problems.
- Receives instruction, guidance, and direction from others; works under close to moderate supervision.
- 3 to 5 years of experience required. Understanding of SolidWorks CAD software
- Ability to perform root cause failure analysis.
- Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) a plus.
- Understanding of the certification process (UL, ETL, ATEX, IECEx) a plus.
- Understanding of the ISO9001 quality system a plus.
- Understanding of the Spanish language a plus.
- Proficient in all MS Office products
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
