We’re currently growing our team of Artisans with a Mechanical Engineer. This role is responsible for supporting the new product development initiatives and technical sustaining efforts in the mechanical business by developing technical mechanical or process solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Assist in the design and development of new mechanical equipment and components.

· Create and maintain technical documentation and reports.

· Utilize 3-D CAD software to produce 3-D models.

· Develop and update fabrication drawings.

· Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical failures.

· Support Lean and Quality initiatives through continued process improvement.

· Provide timely technical support to RTI Operation’s and Client’s questions on mechanical equipment.

· Become familiar with and apply applicable standards from API, ASME, etc.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field such as Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering).

· 0-5 years of experience.

· Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

· Hands on field, fabrication or maintenance experience.

· Experience and/or knowledge around quality or process improvement.

· Ability to demonstrate basic understanding of the principles of a design-to-product or stage gate type process.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a cross functional team.

· Creativity to develop new and innovative solutions.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

At industrial sites may be required to carry equipment (up to 40 pounds), climb stairs and ladders, work in inclement weather and be on one’s feet for a 12 hour shift.

Travel Requirements

May spend as many as 10-30 nights away.
