Assistant Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner is Hiring a Program Analyst Near Washington, DC

This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner.

Qualifications:

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

To be qualified for this position at the GS-13 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level. This experience is defined as:

-Developing information systems using Microsoft Power Apps; and
-Gathering, evaluating, and translating system user feedback and implementing information systems enhancements; and
-Facilitating the improvement of program support operations (i.e., research, data analysis, streamlining efforts)

Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.

Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.

Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.

Responsibilities:

As a/an Program Analyst, you will:
  • -Assist in the development and application of accepted management practices, theories, techniques, and methodology to assigned problems and studies, which involve making use of substantive knowledge of Office of Recapitalization practices, functions, and procedures.
  • -Lead teams that gather, assemble, analyze, and evaluate complex facts, draw appropriate conclusions, and devise solutions to assigned problems.
  • -Develop and implement strategies to monitor assessment and special program areas to measure progress toward reaching objectives in an efficient and effective manner and makes recommendations to management for corrections as needed.
  • -Guide technical staff or teams that prepare a wide range of clear, complex, and concise charts and graphs covering a variety of scenarios for review by management.
