The Role

As an HR Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering effective operational and administrative support within the Employee Experience HR team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of internal leaders at a premier financial services company.

Key Accountabilities


Operations

  • Ensure continuity of the business process for onboarding and offboarding; identify opportunities for process improvements in alignment with client leadership.
  • Collaborate with external vendors on a variety of employee experience programs.
  • Lead the exit process in partnership with the Governance and HR teams.
  • Partner with Hub leaders on employee experience support as needed.
  • Support Synchrony Hub and Way of Working initiatives.
  • Support ad-hoc projects as needed.

Administrative Support

  • Oversee the mailboxes for onboarding and exiting employees. Flag questions, concerns, or critical issues to the appropriate team.
  • Manage new hire communication emails and welcome gift program.
  • Engagement event planning as needed. Skills & Experience Needed
  • Familiarity supporting HR or Employee Experience programs.
  • Vendor management and partnership experience.
  • Strong organizational and program management.
  • Effective written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet demanding targets and deadlines.
  • Experience using technology and databases.
  • History of developing and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • This role requires someone who has problem-solving capabilities, can work independently but also as part of a team.

Skills & Experience

  • 5 years of HR Generalist experience - Onboarding, Exit Process, Running HR Programs
  • Excellent English business communication skills, written and oral
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages; Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Demonstrates knowledge of client/stakeholder context and broader goals to build credibility
  • Keeps promises and commitments to demonstrate reliability
  • Effectively manages competing client/stakeholder priorities through clear understanding of goals, timescales and regular communication
  • Always acts with integrity and transparency, even when things aren’t going as planned
