SUMMARY: The Area Director of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management of selected communities. Area Director will work closely with management company and local community leaders. It is their responsibility to ensure that the communities establish the highest level of quality of care based on established nursing standards and resident rights while supporting and assisting in the implementation of facility policy and state regulations. This individual will drive census, hire, train and manage the staff of at least two (2) Communities. Area Director will maximize the effectiveness of resident care, operate within a budget, and uphold resident and family satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Project Management Experience.
· General knowledge of healthcare, Assisted Living/Memory Care, restoratives and personal care services, general knowledge of resident mental health and social needs and residents rights
· Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations.
· High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation, and interaction with coworkers and management.
· Proficient working knowledge of knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and clear driving record (satisfactory for inclusion on company auto insurance policy).
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, flexible hours.
· Ability to travel up to 75%
