Alten Technology USA is Hiring a Technical Project Manager Near San Francisco, CA

As a Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for;

  • Take ownership of the vehicle controls management document, including defining high-level requirements and maturity targets for firmware release milestones.
  • Monitor the status of firmware for each vehicle and firmware release milestone, ensuring accurate reporting of progress.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with representatives from various vehicle development areas to assess progress, identify roadblocks, and take necessary actions to maintain project timelines.
  • Communicate challenges and identify program risks, actively developing mitigation plans to address them.
  • Develop or enhance processes to address unique and unforeseen challenges that may arise during the project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to resolve open questions or issues in a timely manner.
  • Establish standard reporting mechanisms to effectively communicate program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments to key stakeholders, including presentation to the executive team.

Qualifications;

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience (preferably in Control, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing automotive firmware development.
  • At least 3 years of experience in vehicle control function validation.
  • Demonstrated track record in managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA and Gantt charts.
  • Ability to maintain focus on the big picture while delivering clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to different audiences.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, particularly ASPICE, and a basic understanding of AGILE principles.

Bonus Qualifications;

  • Previous experience as an automotive application control function developer.
  • Knowledge of base software (SW) structures.
  • Experience with CAN, LIN, or Ethernet protocols and/or the bring-up of complex systems.
  • Passion for electric and autonomous mobility.
  • AGILE Certification.

Salary Range: $100,000-120,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
