AIT is Hiring a Business Development Near Grand Prairie, TX

Summary: The Manager, Business Development main goal is to develop, coordinate and manage all activities for the development of technical and commercial proposals for current and future customers. Duties and Responsibilities: Establish priorities and assign workload to employee on a daily basis. Provide support, guidance, and direction for the development of technical and commercial proposals. Review quality and completeness of content for each proposal. Participate in final review of proposals, prior to the submittal to the customer. Participate in customer meetings and bidder’s conferences direct supervision of employees in the Business Development department and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Review proposal log with team to ensure each proposal is properly addressed Gather metrics for group performance Collaborate with Purchasing group for alignment of material costs Collaborate with Accounting group for financial alignment of rates Attend facility staff meetings and provide overview to management team Employee review meetings Interview and train onboarded employeesPlanning, assigning, and directing work; Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; Addressing complaints and resolving problemsMaintain understanding of customer needs. Develop relationships and strategic alliances with businesses and partners. Plan and prepare presentations and promotional strategies. Contribute information and program strategies by evaluating results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive activities; and analyzing and relaying client feedback. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and or equivalent in related field required.Over five years of relevant business development experience. Experience with SugarCRM is desirable.Must be eligible to have and obtain a US approved DOD security clearance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Can multitask and manage multiple large to small projects in a cross functional environment. Work in a high energy, high volume, rapidly changing environment. Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner. Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities. Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved. Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms. Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing programs and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office). Provides excellent service to internal and external customers. Ensures that decisions are made based on policies, rules and organizational directives to solve emerging problems. Exhibits an honest, fair, and ethical manner at all times. Creates a work environment that promotes and encourages team members’ participation to attain common and individual objectives. Proven negotiation skills and ability to explain products to an audience. Easy to approach and can build constructive and effective relationships. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Works effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Physical Demands: Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
