Job Description

JOB TITLE:Human Resource Coordinator

LOCATION:Accumold Office

REPORTS TO:HR Generalist II

FLSA:Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:Primarily responsible for coordinating the efficient operation of the Human Resource function within the Company supportingthe brand promise. Provides administrative support for Human Resources team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintains and updates all confidential electronic files in the HRIS system. Handles day-to-day communication with employees regarding address changes, family status changes or other information used in maintaining benefit plans and job postings.
  2. Maintains current knowledge of Accumold policies and benefits. Assists in communicating information appropriately to managers and employees. Develops knowledge of applicable HRISs, employment laws,OSHA, and regulations.
  3. Assist managers in recruitment processes by placing advertisements, screening applicants, checking references, etc. Organizes new hire information according to set procedure. Maintainaccuracy of current HRIS system.Contacts employee as they become eligible for benefits and assists with enrollment.
  4. Assist with communicates changes in benefit plans to employees. Updates information and orders benefits materials as needed. Serves as liaison to organizations from which Accumold acquires employee benefits and assists or refers employees with benefits questions. Prior to renewals research various benefit options and reports those to management.
  5. Sends out reminders and monitors the timely completion of Performance Appraisals as outlined in Human Resource Procedures.Research and/or arranges for training as required.
  6. Prepares employee separation materials and related documents. Responsible for information and communications regarding unemployment claims. Responsible for administration of EEOC and HIPAA notifications, as necessary. Maintain healthlog as needed.
  7. Coordinates / participates in employee committees that plan events. Responsible for making arrangements for the events based on the requests of the committees.
  8. Performs duties in accordance with Accumold’s Core Values, Policies, and Objectives. This includes the Quality Policy and Environmental Policy. Other duties as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  1. Education/Experience. Combination ofTwo to Four years of post-high school education coursework or equivalent related office experience required plus minimum of three years secretarial/administrative/human resource experience preferred. Computer skills required. Knowledge of Human Resource and administrative functions helpful.Professional in Human Resources certification preferred (PHR/SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).
  2. Computer Skills. Ability to operate personal computer, copy machine and telephone required. Above average knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required.
  3. Language Skills. Proven written communication skills necessary. Oral communication skills necessary for speaking on occasion to groups. Also, the ability to effectively present information or training to employees, in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability needed to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, organizational rules and policies.
  4. Mathematical Skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  5. Reasoning Ability. Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  6. Other Skills and Abilities. Must possess the interpersonal skills to deal courteously and effectively with a broad spectrum of Accumold staff and vendor organizations. Must be able tomaintain confidentiality and a professional relationship with fellow workers and the public. Willingness to attend conferences, classes, or training to enhance and update knowledge and skills.
  7. Supervisory Responsibilities. None.
  8. Physical Demands. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk or hear. With or without correction - Normal vision (20/20).The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may be required to stand and walk and sit for extended periods of time. Dexterity to perform computer operations necessary.
  9. Work Environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Office conditions are normal.
