POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position: Team Development Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Talent

Team Development Coordinator supports PMG’s goals, values and philosophy by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence, quality service, commitment and accountability. The Team Development Coordinator will play a crucial role in our HR team, assisting in various aspects of human resources and recruitment processes. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following but are not limited to:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Recruitment Support:

  • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, assessments, references and scheduling interviews with Director of Talent to ensure a smooth recruitment experience.
  • Collaborate with Director of Talent and hiring manager to understand staffing needs and requirements.
  • Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan.

Onboarding and Orientation:

  • Coordinate new employee onboarding processes, including preparing new hire paperwork and facilitating orientation sessions.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Provide personalized welcome messages, resources, and support to help new employees feel valued and integrated into the company culture from day one.
  • Act as a point of contact for new employees during their onboarding period.
  • Use feedback to continuously iterate and improve the onboarding program, ensuring that it remains effective and relevant to the evolving needs of employees.
  • Maintain the mentorship assignment database.

HR Administration:

  • Works with EAP and Director of Talent to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Support HR initiatives such as performance evaluations, employee engagement, and recognition programs.
  • Handle HR-related inquiries and provide assistance to employees as needed.
  • Promotes, tracks, and manages the Employee Referral Program.
  • Assists with AMCI accreditation process as needed.
  • Coordinates benefit programs including insurance and retirement plans with Director of Talent and EAP.
  • Review invoices/data from EAP.
  • Other Human Resources duties as assigned.

Training/Development

  • Collaborate with the Director of Talent to identify training and development needs across the organization.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of training programs aimed at enhancing employee skills, knowledge, and competencies.
  • Maintain and coordinate the annual training schedule.

Data Management:

  • Manage HR databases and systems to track employee information, and other relevant data.
  • Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

Compliance and Policy Implementation:

  • Stay informed about labor laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
  • Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.

Marketing:

  • Partners with Marketing Department and leadership to draft monthly PMG Newsletter to promote internal engagement.
  • Work with Director of Talent to draft employee announcements.
  • Update content on company intranet, including maintaining internal employee documents.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or human resources, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions. On occasion, the individual must be able to do moderately demanding physical activity such as handling and opening boxes weighing 35-40 pounds, standing and walking extensively throughout the day.
