POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position: Credentialing Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Certification

The Credentialing Coordinator supports PMG’s goals, values and philosophy by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence, quality service, commitment and accountability. As a member of the PMG team, performance includes demonstration of the following accountabilities: communication, teamwork and job knowledge.

The position performs administrative duties necessary to provide certification services to professional societies managed by Parthenon Management Group. The Credentialing Coordinator is the primary point of contact for member and Customer communication.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following but are not limited to:

Certification

  • Serve as primary point of contact for member and customer communication for daily email and phone calls by exam candidates, prospects, Chapter/Region Certification Chairs, and Certification Committee meetings.
  • Manage certification program budget accuracy under direction of Director of Certification.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of exams, scores, data management, policies, website accuracy and correspondence.
  • Schedule and lead regular intra-team meetings for certification registration and renewal processes.
  • Support certification and volunteer communications and timelines for promotional strategies in conjunction with and to be executed by marketing.
  • Implement program growth strategies as directed by Director of Certification.
  • Communicate program requirements to testing vendors, monitor vendor activities and billing statements.
  • Manage registration process and collaborate FAQ communication points with Member Services.
  • Coordinate production of examinations and candidate handbooks.
  • In collaboration with Director of Certification, guide Certification Committee and SME working groups through exam development and analysis.
  • Oversee the certification renewal process, timelines and data management.
  • Work with Chapter and region leadership to promote exam date and passing list promotions.
  • Maintain statistics on participation in certification programs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to recognize newly certified individuals as well as those renewed – i.e. digital badging program.
  • In collaboration with marketing, write and edit content to promote the learning and certification programs.

Administration and Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned volunteer committees, working groups and ad hoc subject matter experts for assignments, agendas, minutes, meetings management, deliverables, nominations, and recognition.
  • Manage recruitment of volunteers for CSI committees, working groups and liaisons.
  • Track and maintain volunteer metrics.
  • Manage recognition and celebration of volunteers and their contributions to the organization/industry.
  • Lead the internal Volunteer Analytics/Engagement Team to streamline volunteer metric data and recording, address recruitment challenges and review the recognition plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • None

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in education, human resource development, business, communications, nonprofit management or related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in the following areas:
    • Coordinating learning/certification/professional development programs
    • Coordinating detailed documents and exam candidate or learner communications
    • Developing and maintaining statistical records
    • Working in an association or not-for-profit environment
    • Monitoring program budgets

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions
  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively in speech and writing
  • Ability to manage time and multiple tasks for effective job execution
  • Computer literate (MS Office Suite, database management, Skype, Zoom, LMS)
  • Knowledge of ADA requirements and processes that impact standardized testing and learning
  • Ability to work in a flexible and remote productive work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, phone, and presentation skills
  • Able and willing to travel, including weekends
  • Ability to perform moderately strenuous activities including but not limited to sustained activities (continual bending, stooping, typing, exhibit booth staffing) and lifting & moving packages (exhibition display cases, printed material boxes, Fed Ex, bundles of mail, copy paper, etc.)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions. On occasion, the individual must be able to do moderately demanding physical activity such as handling and opening boxes weighing 35-40 pounds, standing and walking extensively throughout the day.
