Position Overview:

Our Bartenders work closely with the Front of House (FOH) team to ensure a smooth and steady flow of service for our guests. The Bartender is primarily responsible for managing beverage orders and serving guests based upon their requests. The Bartender maintains their knowledge of wines, cocktails, and beers in order to create menu items and drink recommendations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following:

• Collaborates with the Serving team to ensure guest needs are being met
• Verifies the identification and age of guests and abides by all State liquor regulations
• Creates and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Makes recommendations on menu items and engages with guests
• Maintains complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, liquor, beers, wine, as well as non-alcoholic selections
• Orders and maintains inventory of liquor and bar supplies
• Inputs orders, processes payment, and completes closing in the POS system
• Organizes and ensures cleanliness of the Bar

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or general education degree preferred but not required
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a bartender, server, and/or host in a fine dining restaurant

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors
• Knowledge of classic cocktails
• Ability to learn and perform in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Coachable and receptive to feedback
• Proficient in cash handling and familiarity with POS systems
• Must be able to obtain Liquor Commission Card and Certification (upon being hired)
• TB Clearance required to work in the restaurant
