JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Product Specialist
REPORTS TO: Product Manager
DEPARTMENT: RTP/Business Systems
CLASSIFICATION: Year Round Full Time
FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Setup product in RTP/One, e-commerce and other POS software systems, includes product creation, set up, and security updates. Provide help desk assistance to users.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Set up product in RTP and e-Commerce platform for profit centers including but not limited to Ticketing Services, Rental, Mountain Sports School, etc.
- Extensive testing of product once set up to ensure usability for guest experience as well as correct integration into RTP order of products and payments.
- Align products with correct accounting to ensure that accurate information is processed to the General Ledger and RTP revenue reports.
- Coordinate with marketing/profit centers for product pricing, description, updated photos, confirmations, and availability for all products on an on-going basis.
- Provide flexible assistance to managers in product set up adjustments, while following protocols.
- Work with profit centers to report software bugs and issues and follow up with case management.
- Set-up and maintain security to ensure that users have appropriate access to functionality in RTP and eCommerce.
- Assist in ensuring basic eCommerce store functionality is maintained and working properly including logins, vouchers, My Account, check-out, payments. Resolve issues in timely manner including failed orders and user logins.
- Work with profit centers to report software bugs and issues and follow up with case management.
- Resolve issues in timely manner including failed orders and user logins updates in RTP & eCommerce platform.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Assist profit centers with problems and questions and coordinate with Information Systems for solutions to network and hardware issues.
- Assist helpdesk for RTP/One, e-commerce, and other POS software users.
- Work alongside Business Systems Director, Product Manager and other Business Systems Analysts to ensure proper functionality of RTP/One and other POS software throughout JHMR.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and analysis.
- Work with managers to combine technology with improved business processes to both reduce cost and improve product service and delivery.
- Perform other projects and analyses as requested.
COMPETENCIES
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of PC functionality
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Analytical and interpretive skills

- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates primarily in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses computer and phone. Most work is completed in an indoor environment. Occasional outdoor environment to visit profit centers to resolve issues. Outdoor environment may cause exposure to extreme temperatures and varying weather.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional walking, moving about on foot to visit profit centers.
- Extensive use of fingers to type, and perform other computer work.
- Hearing and ability to receive detailed information through oral communication at normal speaking level.
- Close visual acuity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This job is full time year round and typically works business hours. During our peak seasons, schedules and hours may fluctuate but 2 days/week off in a row is offered and general stability of hours is expected. Overtime is not expected.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent number of years’ experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of RTP/Aspenware eCommerce preferred.
