Area Director of Rooms is a senior level position with responsibilities focused on providing guidance and support to the Hotel Managers. This includes overseeing the general operation of hotel functions and assisting guests when necessary with the opportunity to act as a roving manager to accommodate scheduling.

This is a salaried position ranging from $106,000 - $165,000.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees hotel services including Front Desk operations, Housekeeping, Guest Services and Spa.
• Maximizes room revenues & occupancy by analyzing daily status rates & makes adjustments accordingly.
• Manages large events & ensures high volume occupancy special requirements.
• Analyzes rate variances, monitors credit reports & maintains close observation of daily house counts. Conducts weekly Rooms Divisions meetings, including monthly financial review with subordinate managers & senior hotel directors.
• Prepares revenue & occupancy forecasting & monitors labor expenses through schedule approval process.
• Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the Rooms operations in the Front and Back of the house
• Develop and implement standards and operating procedures Front Office & Housekeeping.
• Manage 3 rdParty Valet Agreement for garage profitability, utilization and to ensure luxury levels of service are provided
• Lead the Resort as the "Service Champion". Take a deep level of ownership in all guest experiences and follow-up on service and product defects in real-time
• Partner with Director of Commercial Services to action all feedback from online and social portals.
• Month end reporting to hotel ownership for the entire Rooms division.
• Presenting to ownership/VP of Asset management for monthly P&L review.
