National Association Social Workers is Hiring an Administrative Assistant, Indiana Chapter Near Indianapolis, IN

Major Function

The Part-Time Administrative Assistant will provide essential administrative support to ensure the efficient functioning of the Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). This role involves assisting with office operations, member services, and event coordination and planning.

Responsibilities

Administration:

  • Perform general administrative tasks such as managing correspondence, answering and directing phones, and handling inquiries.
  • Administrative support to the Continuing Education Hours process by accepting applications, reviewing for completeness, processing payments, preliminary review for approval, providing clear, timely and accurate communication to applicants.
  • Maintains effective relationships with advertisers and event sponsors. Coordinates advertising, billing, and scheduling of advertising on multiple platforms.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, materials, and minutes as needed.
  • Maintaining and updating processes and filing of CEH applications and other items.
  • Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
  • Maintain membership and other contact lists
  • Supports the operational function of the chapter by being diligent in tracking important dates, events, meetings and deadlines.
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Other duties as required

Support:

  • Assist in maintaining membership records, processing memberships, and updating databases.
  • Support the coordination and execution of chapter events, workshops, and meetings.
  • Assist in drafting communications, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Help with basic financial tasks such as processing invoices and submit and reconcile expense reports.
  • Coordinate logistics for events including venue arrangements, catering, and materials.
  • Collaborate with other staff members on various projects and tasks as required.
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Other duties as required

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of prior experience in office and administration, preferably association management or nonprofit setting.
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable using Microsoft products and other platforms including InReach, Google, social media sites and web conferencing software.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelors required, BSW or Masters in Social Work preferred and appropriate licensing also preferred.

Job Details Hourly Part-time position Hiring Min Rate 20.00 USD Hiring Max Rate 22 USD based on experience and qualifications. There is a potential of changing to a full-time position depending on the needs of the chapter. This position requires time to be worked during core business hours of 9:00 am-6:30pm. Some evenings and weekends are required for specialized meetings, conferences and events.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
