National Association Social Workers is Hiring a Chapter Support Specialist - New Jersey Near North Brunswick, NJ

I. MAJOR/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reporting to the Executive Director, the Chapter Support Specialist (CSS) works to sustain the operational goals and objectives of the chapter. Serving as a resource, the CSS supports the operational function of the chapter – for example, membership, continuing education, and other member service activities. II. BASIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Administrative:Assists in coordination of chapter events.Supports the planning and execution of special events such as LEAD, annual conference, fundraisers, board elections, and other projects that arise.Assists with managing and tracking advertisements and related subscription-based services.Establishes and maintains files for projects, correspondence, contracts, etc. Member Relations:Serves as a point of contact for members. Responds knowledgeably to inquiries directed to chapter and direct inquiries to resources as appropriate.Conducts welcome calls to new members. Supports the chapter in communicating the value of membership to the public and members through various communication mediums.In collaboration with the membership staff lead, assist with the preparation and dissemination of eblasts to welcome or sustain members.Continuing Education:Supports continuing education programs. Provide CE event support during and after business hours.Moderates and hosts chapter events - assist presenters, introduce speakers and topics, review housekeeping rules and CE instructions, record event when permitted, and managing tech and chat support during selected events.Assists in all areas of event troubleshooting and follow-up with registrants and attendees.Assist with event documentation, tracking and reporting. Assist with the CE certificate processing. Uploads recorded and approved CE workshops to NASW-NJ Online CE Institute (InReach) page, when instructed.Answer questions regarding continuing education programs from members.As needed and under the direction of a staff lead, provides administrative support to the CE collaborative process.Communications:In coordination and instruction by the communication team, assist with monitoring and maintains active presence on NASW-NJ social media.Under direction, update the chapter website.Travel:In-state travel is required to support programs and chapter activities.Other travel as necessary, at the discretion of the Executive Director.Miscellaneous Duties:Complete other task and duties as assigned by the Executive Director.III. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLSSkills: Requires demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interface effectively with Association and chapter staff, members, and the public.Requires experience and skills with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Must be an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing. Strong grammar and writing skills are required.Must be able to plan, organize, and track projects and tasks.Must effectively manage competing and changing priorities.Must demonstrate dedication to and enthusiasm for teamwork.Must be able to demonstrate the ability to identify problems, exercise common sense and sound judgment to generate solutions, and effectively communicate ideas to others.Familiarity with social media platforms and Canva are preferred.Knowledge: Preferred BSW/BA.Experience: Require 2-3 years of related work experience in addition to the education requirement.
