AgReserves, Inc is seeking a deadline-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our Corporate HR team. The Payroll Clerk is responsible for processing regular payroll, incentives, referral payments, and termination pay for the assigned stewardship. Further, the Payroll Clerk assists with effective administration of pay policies, federal and state regulatory compliance, benefits, leave and return to work programs.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure employee data is accurately entered into the payroll, time keeping, and HRIS systems.
• Review the employee entered time, import the time data to create payroll batches based on the schedule, reconcile payroll with time records, and participate in the review process.
• Process payment for terminations, incentives, and referral bonuses.
• Collaborate with HR teams in hiring, transferring, and terminating employees.
• Assist HR Team in the administration of leave calculations and pay.
• Answer general payroll-related questions from employees.
• Help research resolutions to employee benefit concerns and issues.
• Proactively cross train in other tasks to support team needs and serve as back-up.
• Self-motivate to pursue continued education on industry and job-related functions.
• Become proficient in all federal and local laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• H.S. diploma required. Advanced degree a plus.
• 3 years experience in payroll preparation including compiling and analyzing data and preparing reports.
• General knowledge of payroll processes, labor laws, FMLA, Disability, and Workers Comp requirements.
• Strong computer skills with competency in Microsoft Tools (Excel) and experience with HR databases, HRIS and payroll systems. Previous use of Lawson Infor ERP, Dimensions and Kronos a plus.
• Solid problem-solving, attention to detail, organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly desired.
• This is a mostly work-from-home schedule. Eligible candidates must be willing and able to commute into the Salt Lake City, UT corporate office and work in-office every other Wednesday, in addition, to other business needs.
