Company Description:

Nicholas Development is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of building equipment at our facilities. The Building Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of various systems, including WSHP, boilers, chillers, energy management systems, fire life safety systems, and power distribution systems. Additionally, the Engineer will play a key role in maintaining mechanical areas, responding to alarms, and monitoring construction and special projects.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the VP, the incumbent will be responsible for the coordination and completion of designated construction projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees and directs construction projects from conception to completion.

• Manage interior construction projects to meet high quality standards and deadlines.
• Ability to work on a few projects simultaneously.
• Work with Architects through design, permitting and construction.
• Negotiate and Coordinate with subcontractors and material supply vendors.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 3 years’ experience in construction management
• Advanced knowledge of construction management and methodologies
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
• Strong understanding of all facets of the construction process
• Familiarity with construction management software packages
• Strong competency in conflict and crisis management
