Come join our team! The City of Saint Paul Office of Financial Services is hiring a Grants Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to provide prospecting, writing, oversight, and coordination of grants citywide.
Here’s what you can expect to do:
A Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or program administration, at least two years of which must have been as a Grants Assistant or equivalent.
Experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.

Selection Process: Applicants who meet the minimum job requirements will be placed on a hiring list for consideration. Hiring Managers may interview/hire anyone from the list. You will be notified if you are invited to participate in the final selection process which may include an interview, job simulation, work sample submission, or other evaluation method.
Pre-Employment Screening: This position requires a driver’s license check, credit check, and a background check which may include criminal history, and employment history as a condition of employment. Candidates will be required to submit proof of education to Human Resources upon conditional offer of employment, if qualifying based on education.

Distribution Division: Todd Blomstrom - Manager Oversees construction crews and dispatch office. Production Division: Jim Bode - Manager Oversees McCarrons treatment plant, dewatering and wash water recovery plant, water quality laboratory, and Vadnais Station. Financials No taxes are used to support the utility. The utility is self-supporting with revenue obtained through the sale of water and payment for services. The Board of Water Commissioners was set up pursuant to Minnesota Special Laws for 1885, Chapter 110, and provides authority to establish rates that are sufficient to pay the expenses and costs for maintenance and repairs, and the interest and principal on debt. State law establishes the Board and provides that the rates are adequate to cover the costs of operation and maintenance, and to retire all bonds.
