Westchester Jewish Community Services is Hiring a Family Support Specialist Near Rye, NY

Overview:

We are seeking a part-time (21 hours/week) Family Support Specialist to join our team in our Satellite office in the Rye School District. The compensation range is $22,000-$24,000/year.

Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Conduct initial cross-system assessment of service/resource needs.
  • Provide care management services that facilitate families’ access to necessary supports and services on behalf of their children and youth.
  • Deliver presentations in classrooms, schools, and communities, and provide psychosocial rehab Children and Family Treatment and Support Services, including Psychosocial Rehab and Family Peer Support services.
  • Provide administrative support across our school-based clinics.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Two years of experience working with parents/families of children/adolescents required.
  • Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency required.
  • Current license/license eligibility as a credentialed Family Peer Advocate are both strong pluses.
  • Ability to effectively engage with and support families/parents of children/youth with significant social, emotional or behavioral needs across the full economic spectrum is essential.
  • Ability to professional relationships with school and social service personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills.
