Blue Sky Bank is Hiring a Human Resources Assistant Near Tulsa, OK

Summary: The Human Resources Assistant assists the Managing Director of Human Resources (HR Managing Director) and Human Resources Generalist/Payroll & Benefits Specialist (HR Generalist) (collectively HR Team) with the successful administration of Human Resources, payroll, and benefits.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with department managers and HR Team to create and maintain active job postings as well as actively recruit qualified candidates for open bank positions.
  • Participates in career/job fairs as directed by HR Team.
  • Screens and approves candidates for managers to interview. Declines candidates not approved for interview.
  • Collaborates with department managers and HR Team to draft employment offers obtaining and saving required management approval in the employee's file. Sends approved employment offers to candidates saving the acceptance in the employee's file.
  • Ensures timely new hire onboarding in all HR, payroll, and benefits systems.
  • Follows new hire onboarding process ensuring that completed forms are saved in appropriate employee files. Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee files, records, and documentation.
  • Ensures timely employee status changes in all HR, payroll, and benefits systems.
  • Collaborates with department managers and HR Team to draft promotion offers obtaining and saving required management approval in employee's file. Sends approved promotion offers to employees saving the acceptance in the employee's file.
  • Collaborates with department managers and HR Team to create job descriptions for all bank positions ensuring timely execution by all employees.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate HR Team member.
  • Maintains electronic employee personnel, benefit, and medical files. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of employee files and records.
  • Maintains employee records in HRIS, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
  • Assists the HR Generalist with employee benefits changes including but not limited to requesting appropriate information and documentation, completing necessary employer documentation, and processing changes in the benefits systems.
  • Inputs payroll data for review and approval by HR Generalist.
  • Maintains weekly spreadsheet of all new hires, terms, open job postings, promotions/position changes, etc.
  • Ensures timely employee terminations in all HR, payroll, and benefits systems as well as sends termination email to the appropriate individuals.
  • Conducts Exit Interviews providing the details of the interviews to the HR Team.

Requirements
Required:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Human Resources experience.
  • Knowledge of HRIS/Payroll software operations.
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and benefits administration.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, integrity, and honesty.
  • Problem solver with the ability to objectively review a challenge and suggest multiple alternatives.
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and willingness to continuously learn.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
