Description

Summary:  A Wire Manager supports wire processing for the bank, is responsible for performing a variety of wire transfer duties in a high-volume deadline driven environment including reviewing for fraudulent activity, signatures as needed, and reviewing each outgoing wire prior to submission. The Wire Manager interacts with various bank personnel and customers and manages the Wire Team.

Primary Responsibilities:

•  Provides leadership, guidance, and support to the Wire Team.
• Recruits, interviews, and on-boards Wire Team.
• Trains, supervises, and holds Wire Team accountable through coaching, mentoring, constructive criticism, assessing, and disciplinary action when necessary.
• Optimizes performance of Wire Team through training, supervision, discipline when necessary, and delegation of duties, establishing clearly defined responsibilities and performance expectations while assuring full compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Identifies training needs for Wire Team and develops appropriate programs to address them.
• Creates and manages work schedules of Wire Team, including but not limited to approving or denying requests for time off from work, Paid Time Off in Paylocity, etc.
• Receives, verifies, and inputs incoming and outgoing wire transfer requests daily. 
• Provides excellent customer service. 
• Completes call back to customers for wire approvals.
• Tracks and monitors wire volumes.
• Monitors wire activity for fraudulent activity.
• Performs daily wire balancing.
• Adheres to and follows the bank’s wire policies and procedures.
• Works closely with Treasury Management Team, Managing Director of Deposit Operations, and Deposit Operations Lead.
• Remains current and adheres to all regulatory requirements and training.
• Maintains consistent compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory laws.
• Works as a member of a team to accomplish the Bank’s goals.
• Follows and adheres to all Bank policies and procedures including those contained in the Employee Handbook.
• Performs responsibilities during Bank hours by being physically present at the Bank an average of 40 hours each week based on business needs.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of related bank experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of the banking industry, practices, and principles.
• Reliable transportation, a valid Driver License, and proof of vehicle insurance for travel to and from Bank branches and occasional seminars and/or training.
• Accuracy, efficiency, and thoroughness.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Delivery of superior customer service.
• Multi-tasking, consistency with meeting deadlines, demonstration of follow-through, and adherence to all regulatory and company policies and procedures.
• Attainment in a team environment to accomplish shared goals.
• Willingness to learn specialized financial software used in the banking industry.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Calculation of figures, numbers, and amounts typical of those in the banking industry.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
