Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiating rates and ensuring service requirements are met.
- Proactively source and secure carrier capacity to fulfill customer shipping requirements.
- Track and trace shipments, providing updates to customers and carriers as needed.
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the transportation process.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and efficient transportation operations.
- Maintain accurate records in our transportation management system.
- Continuously monitor carrier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
- At least 2 years of experience in carrier sales or a similar role in the transportation industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in using transportation management systems and technology.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry trends.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
