We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in all phases of the litigation process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and attention to detail to contribute to our firm's success.
Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Draft correspondence and prepare legal documents for filing with the court
- Organize and maintain case files, including indexing and filing documents
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel to schedule meetings, depositions, and hearings
- Review and summarize deposition transcripts, medical records, and other discovery materials
- Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and witness lists
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing calendars, and maintaining office supplies
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal
- Strong knowledge of legal drafting and litigation procedures
- Proficient in conducting legal research using Westlaw or similar databases
- Familiarity with document management systems such as iManage
- Experience with document review and e-discovery processes
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
