Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously
- Draft and prepare initial drafts of various pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, and other pleadings
- Review and evaluate discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case material
- Compose case assessments and evaluations for review by associates and partners
- Monitor case filings and scheduled deposition for our client(s)
- Prepare for trials for our national client(s)
- Contemporaneous accounting and submission of personal billable time.
Candidate Requirements:
- 5 years of litigation experience preferred
- Asbestos litigation experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner
- Capable of independent work
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to professionally communicate with a wide variety of individuals
- Act with a sense of urgency when needed
- Possesses a strong understanding and abides by the policies and procedures of the firm
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and legal systems such as Westlaw, File & Serve Xpress, PACER
