We’re hiring a Transportation Administrative Assistant to Live. Work. Explore. this summer!
Job Summary:
The Transportation Administrative Assistant will provide office support for the department. This includes recording and auditing various reports, assisting with radio communication to our Interpretive Guides throughout the park, assisting with winter interviews, monitoring time punches and payroll, ordering office supplies, and more.
The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: April 2024 - October 2024 Pay: $16.50 per hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Life in Yellowstone:
Employee housing (dormitory-style) and on-site employee meals (cafeteria-style). Room & Board costs equal to $17.00/day and are deducted bi-weekly (approximately $234.00) from your paycheck

Responsibilities:
Accurately record and audit underground fuel storage tank usage daily and submit weekly fuel use reports
Orders necessary supplies for the Mammoth, Old Faithful, Lake and Canyon transportation operation
Assists the on duty Dispatcher with radio communications
Collects and distributes weekly vehicle mileage logs and monthly diesel fuel and mileage logs
Administers daily KRONOS maintenance including entering missed punches, adding gratuities and approving all entries
Maintains the Transportation Department statistics and creates spreadsheets and reports as needed
Prepares daily tour count report
Organizes and distributes daily Vehicle Inspection Reports
Maintains a neat, clean and organized work/office area
Maintains positive and effective communication with departmental, company and non company contacts in person, via email and telephone
Maintains confidential information
Completion of other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Interpersonal and telecommunication skills
Organizational skills
Computer knowledge including MS Word, Excel and KRONOS
General office skills including typing, filing and calculator use
Workload prioritising
Effective communication skills
Ability to work with little or no supervision
Physical Requirements include:
Sitting for periods of 3 hours or more
Able to lift/carry up to 30 pounds
Bending, kneeling, stretching, walking and reaching
Able to climb flights of stairs multiple times per day
Ability to work in elevations exceeding 7000ft
