CD 92.9 FM account executives are extraordinarily talented people who are passionate, insightful, creative, ambitious, competitive, cooperative, and fearless. Account executives use sales strategies to develop new business and to retain existing accounts. Account executives generate insightful solutions for our clients and must be able to effectively communicate those solutions. Account executives must meet and exceed goals and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Core Competencies

A successful CD 92.9 FM account executive will have the following core competencies.

• Proficiency in prospecting and aggressively seeking new clientele by networking, cold-calling, canvassing, referrals, and other means.
• Ability to become an expert in the client’s business by gaining a deep understanding of the client’s goals, objectives, and processes in addition to key market and consumer trends.
• Creativity—possess the ability to design, create, and deliver customized advertising proposals and presentations.
• Ability to build rapport with clients and to deliver desired results.
• Gain referrals by providing support, information, guidance, and qualitative research and by recommending new opportunities for profit and/or service improvements.
• Provide exceptional client service.
• Strong negotiation skills, a passion to succeed, and a competitive spirit.
• Exceptional organizational and process-management skills.
• Goal-oriented: must be dedicated to meeting and exceeding goals.

Profile

• At least two years of outside sales experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience growing and maintaining a robust sales funnel.
• Recognized top sales performer with a proven track record of over-achieving.
• Strong sales acumen and proficiency in all phases of the sales cycle, proactive outbound phone sales, and new account development.
• Ability to perform independently in a fast-paced sales environment.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; outgoing, sociable, and charismatic.
• Media sales experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
