Location: WK Medical Center Department: Clinic - Coushatta Clinic Classification: Full-Time Shift: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Date Posted: 4/5/2024 Description: Willis Knighton is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Coushatta Clinic. The Medical Assistant will provide nursing care to patients in the physician offices under the supervision of the Clinic Physician. The supervising physician delineates the privileges and duties through skill assessment. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: assessing the health status of patients and collaborates with the nursing staff and physician to establish care procedures; contributing to the planning of appropriate nursing interventions; administering treatments in accordance with Department policies and procedures; administering medications to patients under the direct supervision and allocation of the respective clinic physician/provider; documenting patient assessment with objective and subjective symptoms utilizing appropriate clinical method and records; and providing educational needs and assist in scheduling referral appointments and procedures as needed. The applicant considered for this position High School Graduate and must be a graduate of an approved medical assistant program or have verification of documented experience in a medical office setting in patient care.
