Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA is Hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist Near Cincinnati, OH

The Talent Acquisition Specialist locates, interviews, screens, and refers qualified job candidates for job openings, and attends community events and career fairs to represent the firm. This position can be located in our Cincinnati office or our Columbus office.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Confers with department management and supervision to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
  • Utilizes Applicant Tracking System to identify qualified applicants; organize and maintain applicant records for future reference.
  • Sources and screens resumes for assigned positions.
  • Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Develops and coordinates internal job posting program and writes job postings.
  • Receives, sorts, and evaluates applications and resumes.
  • Initiates contact with qualified candidates for specific job openings.
  • Performs telephone screening and arranges interviews with hiring department.
  • Interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and conducts required testing.
  • Ensures candidates are scheduled and all appropriate parties are notified of new hire orientation.
  • Coordinates new hire processing, arranges start dates with hiring department, and participates in orientation.
  • Coordinates participation in, sets up display, and works at career fairs.
  • Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
  • Works with external recruiters and temporary agencies to fill available positions, as necessary.
  • Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants.
  • Coordinates pre-employment screening, such as criminal background checks and drug tests.
  • Maintains correspondence with candidates in process.
  • Performs administrative duties, as needed.
  • Provides assistance with other human resources functions, as needed.
  • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.
  • Additional duties as requested or required.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university in human resources administration or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and HR experience.
  • Must have high volume and full-cycle recruitment experience.
  • Knowledge of employee recruitment, interviewing and selection processes and techniques; relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to identify qualified employees through screening and interview methods; identify and utilize multiple recruitment sources, including internet; communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds; and present a positive image to the public.
  • Use of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and detailed with a sense of urgency to keep hiring managers and candidates informed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers.

Work Requirements:

  • Occasional travel required for job fairs, training and outer office support.
  • Flexible hours as required for recruiting events or interviewing.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit at the workstation for extended periods. The employee must have the ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form; enter data into a computer; and operate standard office equipment.
