Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and ensuring accuracy in financial records.

Duties:

- Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and execute weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice issues

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in accounts payable or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Skills:

- Accounts receivable
- Payroll
- Account reconciliation
- Familiarity with financial concepts
- Experience with Paychex, ADP, or PeopleSoft is a plus
- Knowledge of benefits administration
- Understanding of governmental accounting
