The Customer Service Representative acts as a liaison between company and customer to provide assistance in communicating customer requirements to ensure their requests are met by the company. 

Requirements

• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with technical information.
• Be able to coordinate activities with internal company departments, vendors and common carriers. 
• Provide necessary follow up and initiate correspondence. 
• Analyze individual solutions and take appropriate action to ensure that customers’ needs are met.
• access, update and maintain records for individual accounts. 
• Assist customers with order processing and order/product information inquiries
• Satisfy and exceed customer expectations regarding requests for pricing, placement of orders for standard and custom products and services, delivery performance and schedules that originate over the phone, fax and email or from the website
• Ability to review customer contracts and highlight any discrepancies as compared with internal quoted terms and conditions
• Enter and maintain customer order data in the computer system
• Ability to navigate, analyze and maintain customer portals as applicable and accurately assess changes and facilitate appropriate customer responses based in internal consensus
• Keep accurate and detailed records
• Work with Sales and Engineering departments on quoting activities as needed
• Expedite internal orders as needed
• Provide timely internal and external follow up and correspondence
• Work to resolve any customer complaints or issues
• Understand and follow IATF 16949 procedures
• Keep open orders reports current and relevant
• Review and update of monthly sales opportunities
• Provide weekly metrics to supervisor-weekly goals vs. actual 
• Perform other duties as necessary, including, but not limited to sharing incoming call responsibilities

Skills & Qualifications:

•  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
•  Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills and computer skills including MS O
•  Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
•  Order entry/business system (ERP) experience required
•  Prior Customer Service experience in metal stamping/fabrication environment strongly preferred 
•  Working professionally with people via email, fax and phone to answer questions and resolve issues
