Hours: Four or five day work week with various hours up to 28 hours per week, including at least one weekend day / week

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Rental Services Supervisor, will be responsible for assisting with rental customer service in both booking and execution of parties / rentals / group visits offered within the Elk Grove Park District.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

• First line of representation of inquiries within the rentals department. 
• Clearly communicates knowledge of offerings of all parties/groups/facility rentals to customers.
• Responsible for accurately processing transactions in RecTrac (web based software).
• Responsible for cash handling and necessary accounting processes. 
• Update communication management systems daily. 
• Coordinate appointments with clients, prepare and manage room reservations, contracts, and related documents.
• Assist with staff updates regarding schedule changes and tasks..
• Ensure customer needs are met and issues communicated to appropriate staff promptly. 
• Monitor and evaluate execution of parties/group and facility rentals, as assigned.
• Assist with weekly inventory and observations within the department.
• Performs the job safely and in compliance with district policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
• Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of overall party and rental management with an emphasis on packages, pricing and customer service.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required. 
• Skill in working with computers and database software.
• Ability to demonstrate effective decision making and problem solving skills.
• Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
• Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma. Prior customer service or sales experience required .
