Webster University is Hiring an Assistant Director of Operations Near St. Louis, MO

Description
Works collaboratively in the Deans' offices, the Colleges, and the University to help establish policies and processes to support the goals and mission of the Colleges and the University.
Directly responsible for developing, communicating, and enforcing detailed procedures for operations in the College of Science and Health and College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Evaluates efficiency of daily operations, develops new approaches to maximize staff and financial resources; streamlines operations to create efficiencies.
In close collaboration with the Deans and department chairpersons, responsible for managing the College of Science and Health and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences budgets including tracking expenditures against budget, recommending funding options, and adjusting as needed.
Prepares CSH/CHSS monthly and ad hoc budget reports and analysis.
Under the direction of each Dean, works closely with the Office of Academic Affairs to submit all annual budget requests.
Collaborates with Development, Finance, and Financial Aid offices in the oversight and distribution of grants, ensuring guidelines are followed and deadlines met.
Coordinates with the College of Science and Health, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and relevant University administrative offices to plan and direct projects and events, including Commencement and advisory board meetings.
Disseminates information to the staff and faculty of the Colleges on behalf of each Dean; serves and key communicator/liaison between each Dean's office, departments within each College, and other University offices.
Organizes and serves on search committees for all new staff; creates job descriptions and job postings.
Supervises staff members and graduate assistants, including holding regular staff meetings, staff evaluations and approving time cards.
Works independently and in collaboration with the department chairs and/or dean to mediate staff personnel issues.

Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree or a Bachelors with extensive administrative experience.
3-5 years of experience working in a professional environment supporting senior leadership
Expertise in all Microsoft office products
Experience managing teams effectively
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills, oral and written, that support working in a collaborative environment
Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Webster offices, faculty, staff, students, advisory board, and outside stakeholders
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams
Ability to identify, investigate and solve problems
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise systems and data management
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
