The Dover Companies is seeking a proactive and experienced Director of Human Resources Operations to collaborate closely with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO) in building and optimizing our growing HR operations. Based in Clayton, Missouri, this full-time role requires limited travel.

At the Dover Companies, we are committed to fostering a dynamic workplace culture where every employee can thrive. Our Director of HR Operations will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our HR strategies align seamlessly with our organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive HR strategies in collaboration with the PEO, encompassing performance evaluation, staffing, training, and development initiatives.
  • Oversee Corporate HR initiatives, including Applicant Tracking Systems, Recruitment, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Workers’ Compensation, and corporate HR strategy implementation.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Corporate HR personnel to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to best practices.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with our PEO for employment relations, policy development, and HR-related matters.
  • Design and manage leadership training programs and professional development opportunities for corporate staff.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with internal policies and legal standards, ensuring alignment with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with the PEO to address corporate grievances and violations, implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Utilize HR metrics and data analysis to generate insights and reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record as an HR Director, demonstrating strategic leadership and operational excellence.
  • In-depth understanding of organizational dynamics and the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, regulations, and human resource management principles.
  • Business acumen coupled with a keen focus on the human element of HR operations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to derive actionable insights.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a firm yet empathetic approach.
  • High ethical standards and a diligent work ethic.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • SHRM Certification and experience in healthcare are desirable but not mandatory.
