Reporting to the Senior Vice President & General Manager of Hoffmann Brothers Saint Louis, the Director of Operations will have overall P&L responsibility for the entirety of our HVAC Division in St. Louis- Hoffmann Brothers’ largest and highest revenue generating division- a $60MM line of business with plans for significant growth.

Successful outcomes will be attained by working with Department Managers and Field Managers to align and deliver results through setting goals and KPI’s, aligning our Hoffmann Brothers Purpose and Values to deliver exceptional customer service and outcomes for our team members, our customers, and the communities in which we live & serve. Coordination and collaboration with department managers will be critical to your success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a dynamic team of over 100 team members in a high growth and rapidly changing environment
  • Empower Field Managers to demonstrate decision making using sales data, technician feedback, KPI’s, and process accountability
  • Define and cascade annual revenue targets, commission structures and leads the overall planning process.
  • Assist each individual Leader and Field Manager and help them to achieve their goals
  • Establish, foster, and drive strong relationships with other Hoffmann Brothers’ departments to provide open lines of communication for feedback, job scheduling and lead generation
  • Inspire and motivate a team of experienced service professionals to achieve results through training and development
  • Work with Department Managers to resolve customer concerns that require management involvement
  • Maintain highly visible presence by conducting regular field visits and accountability to ensure excellence and value-add via our established processes
  • Assist with vendor discussions & negotiations
  • Recruitment and retention through building a strong culture of teamwork within all departments

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of progressive experience and proven ability in P&L leadership, strategy/ consulting and/or corporate growth program management role.
  • Possess the ability to inspire both personal and professional growth in our team members
  • Strategic thinking capabilities to evaluate, assess, and make recommendations for change
  • Analytical and very comfortable navigating data to derive insights and define strategies
  • Ability to provide unparalleled customer satisfaction
  • Ability to drive team performance to achieve all business goals and objectives
  • Be detail oriented and a highly organized multi-tasker with good presentation skills and the ability to convey confident and decisive messages in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment
  • Strategic mindset and can-do attitude. Able to translate strategic goals into actionable activities
  • Ability to direct and lead effective and efficient performance of a team. Ability to influence and galvanize team outside of direct reporting line
  • Effective communication, negotiation skills and customer focus
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while managing multiple priorities
