Washington Pavilion Management, Inc seeks a Retail Operations Manager. As a vital member of the Washington Pavilion’s sales team, the Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store management, including day-to-day operations, budget management, inventory control, merchandising, and staff supervision. The Retail Operations Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales and Administration to develop and implement strategic revenue growth strategies. In addition, the Retail Operations will be committed to leading, coaching, and motivating staff to providing exceptional customer service in a fast paced retail environment.

What you will do!

• Lead retail operations to foster a service & selling culture and exceed overall expectations to build long standing customer relationships.
• Manage and schedule staff to fill vacant shifts while ensuring adequate coverage.
• Implement processes that cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow loyalty and increase retention.
• Measure and track customer experience feedback and provide coaching and support when needed.
• Implement successful cross-selling and up-selling strategies.
• Oversee store opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth operations.
• Planning, organizing, and managing the daily operations of the store staff to ensure efficiency.
• Attending to any complaints by customers in a professional and timely manner.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchasing orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Analyze sales data and prepare regular reports for performance evaluation.
• Foster a customer-centric environment by ensuring excellent customer service standards are upheld.
• Curate appealing visual displays and create eye catching window decorations to enhance the shopping experience.
• Implement effective restocking and inventory rotation strategies to maximize sales potential.
• Collaborate with Director of Sales and Administration to establish the annual retail budget.
• Operate the retail operations within the allocated budget and adhere to company policies and financial guidelines.
• Supervise all aspects of inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
• Identify slow moving and obsolete items and recommend appropriate actions.
• Work with the Human Resources Manager to recruit, train, retain and onboard new store staff.
• Establish roles and responsibilities for store staff.
• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback and annual performance reviews to staff to ensure growth and development.
• Cultivate a sense of ownership with the store that aligns with a growth strategy and advances the organization's values, vision, and mission.

What you will need!

• Associate’s Degree and/or 3-5 years of experience in Leadership, Management, or Retail Store Management.
• Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in analyzing sales data and preparing reports
• Budget management experience
• Detail oriented and results driven mindset
• Familiar with point-of-sale systems and inventory management
• Stakeholder/relationship management experience
• Computer proficient in basic Microsoft Office software (Excel etc).
• Availability to work a variety of shifts to meet the business needs including days, evenings, weekends, events, and holidays.
• Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
