Job Duties:

  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively with others, with a commitment to a workplace of dignity and respect, in compliance with equal employment opportunity standards and regulations;
  • Assist with and learn quoting and account rounding;
  • Identify and research potential clients through various channels;
  • Conduct needs assessments to understand the specific insurance requirements of potential clients;
  • Assist with creating and preparing insurance proposals;
  • Participate in team sales efforts with other producers;
  • Develop and acquire new business revenue through sales to new and existing clients;
  • Create and maintain client accounts through EPIC (client/account management system);
  • Educate clients on available insurance products and services, emphasizing our values;
  • Implement policy change requests and endorsements;
  • Maintenance and establish client setup on risk management software;
  • Perform other sales related client service administrative tasks with increasing complexity;
  • Develop and maintain internal relationships consistent with our corporate culture;
  • Potential member of CAT (Catastrophic) Team;
  • Attend and participate in various online and in-person seminars to increase knowledge of technical and soft skills.
  • Become familiar with Agency guidelines, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Florida 4-40 or 2-20 License within 6 months of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow as an insurance professional.
  • Minimum of 6 months of prior employment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel required.

Physical Demands: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, use hands and fingers, read, speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk, and reach with hands and arms. Must life and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. The overall noise level in the work environment ranges from low to moderate.

Reports To: Business Development Team Supervisor

Position Type: Non-Exempt.
