THE OPPORTUNITY

This position will assist the Manager, Learning and Development in assessing needs and designing, developing, delivering, maintaining, and evaluating continuous learning programs for both internal (and external as needed) learners in support of a variety of business initiatives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assists in analyzing learning needs and developing programs that maximize knowledge transfer by aligning recognized best practices of instructional theory with business strategies.
  • Develops high quality, easy to consume, innovative learning and performance support solutions using various technologies.
  • Actively engages learners through the facilitation of both virtual and live learning sessions and blended learning modalities on a wide variety of subject matter.
  • Conducts targeted analysis and evaluation of the learning programs they support and develop to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Creates instructional materials via electronic methods to be utilized during training (in-person or via web based)
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships at all levels within the organization to ensure internal learning and development needs are continually met in the most effective manner.
  • Assists in managing the content/records of Learning Management System (LMS) including administering, evaluating and reporting on blended learning initiatives. Ensures access to material, troubleshoots system issues, and manages course offerings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Human Resources field is preferred
  • Must have at least 1 year experience in human resources, training & development, or instructional design
  • Knowledge of adult learning and teaching theory for creating effective creating instructional materials
  • Instructional experience in a group business setting
  • Strong understanding of business goals and standards and translating into learning program
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments
  • Experience developing training and materials for all departments throughout the company
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
  • Experience in utilizing technology to achieve breadth and scale to train organization

Travel is required into the markets that we do business, specifically Tampa.
