- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; master's degree preferred; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- 6 years accounting experience (public accounting or public accounting/private mix)
- Knowledge of applicable procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to finance and accounting; knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Skilled in solving problems and making decisions; skilled in sharing information with others and facilitating the open exchange of ideas and information
- Ability to clearly communicate and understand information in business English, both orally and in writing; ability to identify data issues and make effective recommendations for solutions; ability to develop recommendations, evaluate alternative courses of action, select correct course of action, and follow up, supporting decisions or recommendations with accurate information or reasoning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Lead the research and evaluation of transactions, legal contracts, business practices, new and modified accounting guidance, and policies for compliance with accounting and reporting standards
- Analyzes the organization's complex transactions which include but are not limited to revenue recognition, derivative transactions, and required impairment testing
- Interacts with external auditors on technical accounting issues and assists in the support of all annual audits and quarterly reviews by legal entities
- Assists in the assessment and review of financial controls established over technical accounting areas
